The Edit does not accept returns. All sales are final, exchanges are made on a case-by-case basis at The Edit's sole discretion within 14 days of purchase.
We accept Paypal, Visa, Mastercard and AMEX. Certified cheques, bank drafts and money orders are preferred. Items will not be shipped until balance is fully paid and applicable cheques have cleared.
The Edit has a rotating inventory of one-of-a-kind items. If you see something you're interested in we recommend you purchase or inquire immediately. Every item on The Edit may also be available on the showroom floor of one of our partners. The Edit may also have, and reserves the right to, one or more item(s) available for sale online at the same time as one of our partners. We cannot guarantee availability until the transaction has taken place and the item has been purchased (funds have been transferred and accepted). We do our best to monitor the sale of items at other locations, but on the rare occasion an item has sold off the showroom floor and online, the client in the showroom has first right of refusal to the item.
The Edit may provide shipping and/or packaging services as a courtesy to our clients. The cost of shipping and packaging is the responsibility of the client unless otherwise discussed. By agreeing to hire The Edit to arrange shipping, insurance, packaging and brokerage of your item you understand that The Edit is not responsible for damages occurred during the transit of your item. Any damages or losses that occur are to be claimed through insurance. The Edit will provide all documentation requested by the receiver, shipper and insurance company. The Edit only contracts professional, bonded contractors to prepare and transport your item on your behalf. You are not required to use our contracted services to transport your item, you are welcome to request special arrangements for the transport, packaging, insurance and brokerage of your item.
Your item is fully insured on the value of the sale, under your name. Please make note of any damage to the crate/packaging upon receipt to the delivery driver and be sure that the representative makes a notation of the damage on the accompanying documentation. If the crate is opened and damage has occurred during the shipping process please DO NOT send the crate back with the driver. Once the delivery is complete and signed for, the insurance is legally terminated.
The item and packaging must remain on site at destination for inspection if you plan to file a claim. If the packaging and item are removed after the insurance has been terminated, but before the inspection has occurred, it is difficult to file a successful insurance claim.

It is essential that every shipment is properly insured. It is ultimately the responsibility of the buyer to obtain insurance, if the buyer is unable to arrange insurance please contact us upon purchase, we will be happy to obtain insurance quotes for your item.
The Edit ships from Vancouver, British Columbia worldwide. We regularly deal with customs and brokers who communicate with importing and exporting countries through customs barriers. It is normal procedure for a customs broker to ask for confidential information such as a social security number, phone number, credit card information, addresses etc. The Edit will supply an authorized customs broker if the client does not have one. We will arrange for the customs broker to contact the client DIRECTLY for this information. The Edit does not directly request or record social security numbers from clients.
All duties and taxes charged by customs are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise noted.

In the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged, PLEASE DO NOT THROW AWAY THE PACKAGING. It is the responsibility of the receiver to inspect each item UPON DELIVERY and BEFORE SIGNING for the package. If you have signed for the package and discover the item(s) are damaged after, the insurance is LEGALLY TERMINATED. Contact us immediately and we will decide on the best way to proceed together. The Edit is not responsible for damage occurred during shipping, but we will work with the client and the shipping company to resolve the issue together.
