Armando Amaya is a visual artist well known for his interpretation of the female form. Amaya studied at the National School of Painting and Sculpture under Jose Ruiz and Francisco Zuñiga. He was later awarded a professorship at the same institution. His interpretations of the female form are considered dignified yet graceful.
