Bronze Statue of Milos of Croton after Edme Dumont


A French bronze model of the Milos of Croton, one of ancient Greece’s most illustrious Olympic wrestlers. This bronze interprets Milo demonstrating his strength by splitting a tree trunk open with his bare hands, even though he has an axe at his feet. Unsigned late 19th century on a stepped marble base.
