Bruno Zach "Tanzendes Madchan"
A beautifully rendered art deco bronze entitled 'Tanzendes Madchan' by Bruno Zach (1891-1945). Delicate and provocative, this piece portrays a dancer posing during a performance wearing only a skirt and head-piece. The subject was possibly inspired by renowned entertainer/topless dancer, Josephine Baker, who was the first black woman to star in a major motion picture, "Zouzou" in 1934. Cold painted and signed "Zach" at base.
