Inlaid Wood Music Cabinet by François Linke
A Louis XV-style inlaid music cabinet by François Linke, a renowned Parisian ébéniste during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The cabinet is comprised of three sections, a center section with lower "tambour" doors which open to reveal a shelved interior surmounted by an open galleried area decorated with gilded bronze swags. The center cabinet is flanked by two outer doors decorated with finely chased and gilded bronze musical motifs. The lock on the left hand door is engraved with "F. Linke," complete with key.
