"Single Figure with Robes" by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (1696 - 1770), also known as Giambattista Tiepolo or Gianbattista, a prolific Italian artist from the Republic of Venice. Regarded by art historian Michael Levey as "the greatest decorative painter of eighteenth-century Europe, as well as its most able craftsman."
Stunning in it's simplicity, this original brown ink on paper drawing is inscribed "Tiepolo fecit" in the right bottom corner and is identified as circa 1755 on the frame.
